BRISBANE-based Mosaic Property Group will fast-track construction of its 28-storey Dawn tower in Mermaid Beach after selling 95 per cent of the units within two weeks.
The tower is the second project launched by Mosaic on Peerless Ave where it has the $128m sold-out tower Bela under construction.
Sales at the 85-unit tower include the full-floor, four-bedroom penthouse, which was purchased by a Gold Coast resident for just shy of $6 million.
The apartment includes a master suite spanning 105sq m, home office, separate living areas, built-in spa bath on one balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Mosaic founder and managing director Brook Monahan said he was surprised by the strong sales and had decided to bring construction forward to May as a result.
“We are incredibly humbled by how the market, particularly local owner-occupiers, recognised the opportunity on offer,” Mr Monahan said.
“There was such extraordinary anticipation for this release. From the moment the market realised we had secured a second site in Mermaid Beach.
“We haven’t even had to advertise Dawn, given we had a significant waitlist from our VIP database, along with multiple repeat buyers and a high proportion of referral purchasers.”
Two-bedroom units in Dawn, which started from $750,000, have sold out while some of the three-bedroom apartments remain for sale, starting at $1.8m.
Building features include surf storage, showers, concierge and a dedicated pet wash station on the ground floor, while the podium level contains the resort pool with in-water lounges, BBQ and dining areas, sun deck with day beds, outdoor shower, spa, gym, sauna, steam room, and fire pit with seating.
The residents’ lounge on level nine has a private dining room with kitchen, wine cellar and tasting room, lounge area and outdoor terrace complete with a teppanyaki bar.
Mosaic paid $10.35m for the 1417sq m site at 15-19 Peerless Ave in 2020.
The seller was West Australian developer Pindan, which recently came under the full control of listed Singaporean company Oxley Holdings.
