AN apartment in the mammoth and mysterious Jewel development has popped up for rent, revealing the inside of the gleaming towers for the first time.

The sparkling billion-dollar towers at northern Broadbeach have stood empty for years as changes in ownership and design delayed their completion.

The one bedroom, one bathroom, one car space unit on the 11th floor of tower one, listed at $695 per week, is likely to be the first apartment occupied of 521 planned for the three towers.

Photos for the listing, by Remax Coast Rentals, reveal the luxury finishes inside the apartment, bought by an investor for $1.23 million in 2016.

The new resident will enjoy views from the balcony down to the sand and surf of Broadbeach, as well as a dishwasher, built-in wardrobes, intercom and airconditioning.

Prospective tenants could also enjoy access to the tower’s gym, sauna, steam room, cinema and beachfront pool – although it could be lonely down there, as they’re likely to be the first to move in.

The listing said pets would be considered, subject to approval from the owner and body corporate.

Buyers of Jewel, which began construction in 2016, were initially told they could be living in the towers by mid-2019.

The project is set to feature 521 residences and a 169-room international five star hotel in the 47-floor tower two.

It will also have a resort pool, bars, restaurants, 800-person ballroom, health and wellness centre and retail spaces in line with its 130m of beach frontage.
