COMMERCIAL property young guns Jared Johnson and Lachlan Marshall are itching to get stuck into their new roles after taking a half share in the Harcourts Coastal Commercial business.

The pair, both 29, who have joined the new business after a five-year stint at Ray White Commercial Gold Coast, bring with them a solid track record of sales.

They include successfully marketing a Merrimac property that sold for $7.05 million to Catholic Education to be used for a new school.

They also negotiated a deal for Coomera Waters Tavern for $2.1 million and a neighbourhood shopping centre in Airlie Beach that sold for $3.075 million.

Mr Johnson and Mr Marshall, both 29, have become co-directors of Harcourts Coastal Commercial after partnering with Dane Atherton who owns residential agency Harcourts Coastal.

Mr Marshall said the opportunity to join Mr Atherton was too good to pass up.

“It gives us a lot more flexibility to continue what we have doing with our marketing,” he said.

“In the commercial industry … there is a lot of average marketing.

“We are trying to make it sexy.”

The pair praised Ray White Commercial Gold Coast directors Andrew and Greg Bell for their mentorship and leadership while they were at Ray White.

“We have nothing but love and respect for both Andrew and Greg Bell and also the White family,” Mr Johnson said.

“We have been on the phone to Brian and Dan White almost every day over the past week.”
