A $250 million luxury tower rising from the ground on the Gold Coast’s most exclusive suburban street hits a critical milestone today.
Construction of Sunland Group’s 44-storey Hedges Ave tower is moving at a rapid pace, with workers set to begin pouring the first residential level today.
It is expected a new level will be poured each week, with up to 30 floors completed by Christmas.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, construction remains on schedule and the tower expected to open to its first residents in mid-2022.
Sunland Group managing director Sahba Abedian said 85 per cent of its 98 units were sold.
“Our construction team is committed to completing a concrete slab each week, with the first residential level set to be poured today,” he said
“With more than 90 per cent of our purchasers being local owner-occupiers, we are all excited to see the vision of the project becoming a reality.”

The tower’s basement, ground floor and mezzanine level, which will house the state-of-the-art resident amenities including the hammam steam room, pool and spa, have already been completed.
The first cranes rose over the site in July last year and work has continued at a steady pace.
Units in the tower sell from $1.9 million.
