DEVELOPER Andrews Projects will resubmit plans for an 18-storey building that caused a backlash from Broadbeach residents.
The company’s original plan for the 15-unit Sand Broadbeach development was criticised by residents of the neighbouring Eclipse and La Grande buildings for what they called “minimal setbacks and “adverse visual and amenity impacts”.
Lawyer Ron Frigo, who is representing residents to the Gold Coast City Council, said the council has flagged that Andrews will now submit a redesign of the project.
Council development records show Zone Planning Group, which is filing the application on behalf of Andrews, has requested a 90-day extension period to the application process.
Sarah Andrews, who is sales manager for Andrews Projects, declined to comment when contacted.
