A TWO-storey building dating back to the 1960s will be scrapped for a high-end luxury tower.
Sydney-based boutique developer Bottega Property Group has unveiled plans for a 17-storey medium-rise building on Broadbeach’s Old Burleigh Road.

CHANGS FOR SUNLAND’S GREENMONT DEVELOPMENT
The unnamed development will have just 17 units, with 60 bedrooms.
The units range in size from between three and four-bedrooms, and a single five-bedroom penthouse.
According to new plans filed with the council it will have 43 car spaces, including 40 for residents, two for visitors and one for electric vehicles to charge.
PLANS FOR REVAMP OF SHOPPING CENTRE
The sixth level will have communal open space for residents and visitors including a lounge, gallery, dining room, kitchen, pool and pool deck.
“The development will introduce high-end apartments to the local market which are large-in-size and feature important elements that are conducive to beachside living,” a planning report on the project said.

The tower, which is earmarked for a site just north of the Broadbeach CBD, is expected to go before council for approval next year.
It is the latest in a series of high-end “skyhome” towers to be proposed for beachside locations in recent months.
These towers are defined by having a single large unit on each floor rather than traditional apartment buildings.
