The three-storey house planned for the site would replace the existing 1990s-era house with a dwelling which a planning report describes as a “high quality product”.

“It exhibits cutting edge design elements that includes superior architectural design outcomes intended to create striking visual interest,” the report said.

“The overall building consists of a mixture of textures and materials that make the built form interesting, dynamic and modern.”

The “subtropical” house will feature:

* A three-car garage;

* An 18-foot pool overlooking the Nerang River with views of Southport and TSS;

* Five bedrooms, including a master suite on the third floor which would include its own walk-in wardrobe and private office;

* A lift which runs between all three levels;

The project is expected to go before councillors for approval in early 2021.

It is the fourth mega mansion proposed for the Gold Coast in recent months.

In August, plans for a mansion were unveiled for Carrara, where an existing mansion is being demolished to make way for a new 11m high building put forward by Anthony and Katarina Puljich.

Luxury features include a cinema, sauna, tennis court and pool overlooking the river.
