The unnamed “ultra-modern” 24-storey residential tower is earmarked for a 1004 sqm Main Beach Parade site at the intersection with Aloha Lane.

It will include 82 two and three bedroom units, a sub-penthouse and penthouse.

Mr Raptis said the demand for new apartments in Main Beach had grown dramatically in the past year on the back of a growth on the downsizer market.

“We are looking to present a product that is unique in style, with luxury finishes and priced competitively,” he said.

“Main Beach has always been a sought after suburb and this site is right across the road from the beach with direct access via Aloha Lane.

“It is only a short walk to the restaurant and entertainment precinct of Tedder Ave with plenty of transport options including a light rail stop nearby.

“With a very low level of new stock in the area either in the pipeline or under development we can see the future potential for Main Beach.”

The proposed tower’s rooftop will feature a pool, lounge and gym facility.

The project has been filed with council and it is expected to go before the planning committee later this year.

Mr Raptis, who is currently developing several projects across the city, said sales had held up through the COVID-19 crisis.

Construction began in January on a 21-storey Broadbeach tower known as The Gallery, which Mr Raptis is building with his son Evan.

Work is expected to be completed on the medium-rise building by Christmas.
