The accommodation for university students will be run by Arrival Living, an established full-service student accommodation operator across Australia and New Zealand.
Arrival has existing student accommodation operations in Brisbane, with the SCU project its first on the Gold Coast.
“Being in proximity to the Southern Cross University campus, the medium density residential zone currently does not provide an adequate mix of housing forms, because there is no nearby student accommodation specifically designed for university students,” a planning report on the project said.
“The proposed development will contribute to the housing needs envisioned in the zone.”
