A GOLD Coast shopping complex is set for a significant expansion under newly revealed plans.
A new health food supermarket and cafe will be built at the shopping centre on the corner of Ferry Road and Cotlew Street East.
The extension will be built on land next to the Ferry Road tavern which has remained empty for more than 15 years.
A development application filed by site owner Hotel Property Investment show the expansion will cover 819 sqm.
The new shops will operate from 6am to 10pm seven days a week.
The project will go before the council’s planning committee later this year.
