PEX Projects has unveiled a proposed 10-storey tower for a site on Palm Beach’s The Esplanade, just metres away from a popular surf break.
The tower would replace two existing single-storey towers and will have 45 units across its nine residential levels with 15 bedrooms.

The project will also allow for The Esplanade to be extended to cater for the traffic. Two levels of basement parking is also planned.
Pex submitted a development application to the Gold Coast City Council late last week.
Area councillor Daphne McDonald said she had concerns about the proposed tower’s density and size.

It is the latest in a wave of towers and new developments planned for the suburb.
These include Sunland’s Magnoli tower and townhouse development and a proposed retirement highrise.
The light rail’s future route is expected to run along the Gold Coast Highway as part of the planned Stage 3B which will travel from Burleigh Heads to the border, stopping at Gold Coast Airport.
It will go before the planning committee for approval later this year.
