Plans filed with the Gold Coast City Council show the tavern’s outdoor deck will be demolished to make way for a new enclosed bistro deck.
The existing games room and patio extension on the site’s northern side will be entirely demolished and replaced by a much larger games room and enclosed bistro and terrace.
A new sports bar deck will be built on the site’s southern side.
The plans will go before council in coming months.
It is the first major revamp in many years for the tavern, which opened in the mid-1980s.
