Her mother Nikki Te Paa wrote a moving message about her daughter on Facebook in the wake of her death on Saturday.

“Last night I said goodbye to my beautiful only daughter Mandy Browne,” she wrote.

“Mandy succumbed to her cancer after fighting for six years.

“She was surrounded by her loved ones and went peacefully Our hearts are broken. She is now reunited with her dad.”

Bravehearts, in a statement, remembered Ms Brown for her tireless work.

“Mandy was a shining light who enriched the lives of all around her,” the statement reads. “An advocate for children, and a leader with a strong and kind heart, all at Bravehearts are grateful for Mandy.

In the past decade she worked at Southern Cross Austereo in a range of roles and, for the past three years, was an executive at Bravehearts.

She is survived by her husband Andrew and children Hayley and Ben.
