Under the initial contract, 750 soft armour kevlar inserts will be suppled to the ADF to replace in-service armour.
Gold Coast-based Federal Minister and former ADF officer Stuart Robert welcomed the agreement.
“This world-leading technology, developed right here on the Coast, is an example of the sort of innovation that Australian industry can deliver,” he said.
Craig International Ballistics employs around 35 people and has been producing body armour systems since the late 1990s.
