EX-SOCCEROO KICKS SALE GOAL
TOMMY Oar, former Socceroo, has kicked a property goal at Mermaid Beach, courtesy of a long-term player in the suburb’s near-beach side-streets, developer John Potter.
Former All Saints pupil Tommy paid $1.31 million in 2014 for an older-style home on a 405sq m lot a 30 second stroll from the beach in Dudley St.

VETERAN PRESSES AHEAD WITH NERANG APARTMENT PLANS
GEOFF Burchill, property industry veteran, is continuing to pursue plans for apartment towers overlooking the river on land next to the former The Villa private golf course at Nerang.
Four buildings of up to 12 levels and with 170 apartments were given a green light four years ago but the Burchill camp wants that approval extended to 2022.
It says issues such as entering into an appropriate partnership for the development can’t be rushed.
LACEY EYES BROADBEACH PROJECT
ADAM Lacey, one of a newer breed of developers, could be eyeing a central Gold Coast project after focusing on the southern end with apartment projects at Palm Beach and Kirra.
Adam, who cut his teeth with the Sunland Group, reportedly has been doing some work on a site amalgamation immediately north of the Broadbeach Bowls Club.
It’s apparently a site that older-breed developer Robert Badalotti two years ago aspired to put together.
