THE interstate developer of a new residents-only tower starting construction on Chevron Island next month is tapping into post-pandemic demand to work from home.
Sydney developer Draycon Building’s 42-apartment Boutique Chevron Island – with sweeping views of the river and canals plus the Surfers Paradise skyline – features a level with co-working spaces amid a communal tower lounge.
A rooftop “zen and yoga lounge” is also included.
Draycon managing director Howard Dabit said a big part of the Gold Coast’s attraction was “you can definitely live the holiday every day while working”.
“A lot of thought has gone into Boutique, maximising the space, and considering the world environment we are working in now and with working from home,” Mr Dabit said.

“We also thought about after COVID and the effect of people feeling like they don’t want to work from home or only from home. They want to be able to socialise so we came up with the idea of creating a co-work space in the communal space.”
The apartments, with a maximum of four per floor, range from $499,000 to $1,750,000. Amenities include pool, spa, gym plus barbecue space and communal herb gardens.
