DEVELOPMENT PATRIARCH TIPPED AS BUYER OF ‘GOTHIC-LIKE’ HOME

DANNY Andrews, patriarch of a family company which has made a forte out of building apartment towers, might have plans for a mansion at Paradise Waters.

He’s the suggested $4.15 million buyer of a Gothic-like home on a 1000sqm-plus site in Midshipman Crt, one that could make way for a new Andrews abode.

He and wife Denise have bought a near $2 million apartment in One16 The Esplanade, a boutique tower developed by Brisbane’s Guy Zumbo.

Gary pulled the ripcord at Air NZ in 2001 and, many years later, had a brief stint running India’s second-largest airline.

CROP GROWER STILL SEEKING TO HARVEST BUYER

LYNETTE Ziesemer, a Western Downs wheat and crops grower and owner of thousands of hectares, hasn’t succeeded in finding a buyer for a long-held site fronting the Broadwater at Hollywell.

The vacant 727sq m James Cook Esplanade lot, with a canal at the rear, has been in her family since it was bought for $47,900 42 years ago.

It’s drawn a top bid of $1.45 million at an online auction and the hunt’s on for someone willing to pay at least $1.5 million.
