Woolworths announces huge Everyday Rewards change

Woolworths announced the changes last week, with customers asked to provide their mobile numbers before the update is rolled out.

Woolworths is making changes to its popular Everyday Rewards program to heighten security for customers.

The changes will see multi-factor authentication for its app introduced, requiring customers to provide their mobile numbers.

The change was announced last week with the update planned to roll out in the coming months.

Customers must manually enter their phone numbers into the app before the update is released.

They may have issues accessing their Everyday Rewards account if they don’t register their phone number.

An Everyday Rewards spokesperson said the change was being made to ensure accounts were “as secure as possible”.

“As the verification codes will only be sent to the mobile number linked to the Everyday Rewards account and not the email address, we are asking our members to ensure they have an up-to-date mobile number linked to their account,” the spokesperson told NewsWire.

“This will make the new process as smooth as possible and avoid any disruption to accessing their accounts.”

Everyday Rewards members can update their information through the website or app.

This can be done by selecting ‘My Account’ on the app or website and then ‘My Details’ or ‘Update Account Details’ to update their personal information.
