Content creator and former Love Island contestant Eliza Kennedy uploaded a video on TikTok this week showing her shopping at Kmart and finding a live bunny sitting on a shelf.

The video went viral on the platform, garnering more than 300,000 views.

“Guys, I’m in Kmart, and there’s this bunny just sitting here,” Kennedy, who starred in season three of Love Island Australia, said in the video

“It’s a real bunny. I think it’s real.

“What? Whose rabbit is this?”

A closer look showed that the bunny’s nose was twitching, confirming it was a real rabbit and not a Kmart stuffed toy.

“It is real. That is real,” she said.

“Oh my God, someone collect their bunny rabbit from Kmart.”

The rabbit appeared unfazed as it sat quietly on a pallet of stock in the middle of the store, but viewers were concerned that it had been abandoned.

“Please tell me you saved it and didn’t leave it there,” one user commented.

“I’d respectfully take him home,” wrote another.

A Kmart worker was less surprised, adding: “I work at Kmart and I’ve seen dogs, cats, birds, lizards …”

Kennedy returned to TikTok to answer viewers’ many questions, uploading a second video to explain what happened next.

“OK guys, update on the bunny. I know everyone is very invested in this,” she said in the follow-up video, which received more than 45,000 views.

“I did a few laps of the section that the bunny was in, looking like an absolute weirdo.

“But I was just sussing everyone out being like, ‘Is that your bunny? Are you the parent?’

“Anyway, the parents were there. It was a couple, and they just picked up the bunny, put the bunny on their shoulder and proceeded to stroll through Kmart.

“I think it’s very bizarre. People are f***ing weird.”
