THE gang is back together.

Chris Litfin, former head of residential marketing at CBRE on the Coast Coast, has rejoined his old workmates.

The born-and-bred Gold Coaster, whose Coast family history dates back to 1882, has been around real estate his whole life and has been appointed head of residential project marketing for Queensland at Knight Frank Gold Coast.

The firm is headed by old mates, joint Knight Frank managing directors Mark Witheriff and Tania Moore.

In fact, Chris and Witho go back even further — to school days — they both attended Aquinas College.

Chris left CBRE four months ago to ponder his future and brings to Knight Frank a wealth of real estate experience.

He learned his craft at PRD in the late ‘80s from real estate doyen Gordon Douglas who established the agency with brother Archie in 1976.

It grew to become an Australian real estate business success story and was bought by Colliers International in 2006.

The change of ownership saw Chris strike out on his own until CBRE acquired his business in 2008.

He has marketed apartments in some of the Coast’s best-known towers, including The Wave, Sierra Grande, Air on Broadbeach, Eclipse, Synergy, Element, Aria, the subpenthouses at Q1 and Broadbeach’s latest tower, Qube.

Litfin is stoked to be rejoining the fray and sees a bright future for property in the city he loves.

“I’m really happy with the move. Mark and Tania are great operators and I wanted to join with nimble, freethinkers backed by a great brand,” he said.

“I see some really good years coming up for the Coast’s housing market which then resets the bar for apartments.

“I think we’ll start to see the southern investors come back in.”

Witheriff and Moore are “delighted” Chris has joined the team.

“We believe that Chris will value-add across our entire business,” Witho said.

“We’re also excited that we are able to now offer our clients a full-circle solution to their development outcomes.”

James Branch, Knight Frank’s director of commercial, worked with Chris at PRD before moving across to the client side at Property Solutions in Brisbane where he engaged Chris to undertake project-marketing for a number of its high-rise projects.

Tania Moore said: “There is no doubt Chris has always been the predominant leader in residential project-marketing on the Gold Coast.

“But one of the most important aspects of Chris joining our firm is the friendship and history that both Mark, myself and James have had with him. We are immediately on the same page.”
