A woman and two-year-old girl have disappeared from a Melbourne suburb, with police calling for public assistance in finding them.

A desperate search has been launched for a woman and a young girl who vanished overnight in Melbourne.
Shantell, 38, and Mya, 2, were last seen on Village Drive in Reservoir about 6pm on Thursday.
Police and family hold grave concerns for their safety, due to the length of time they have been missing.
Shantell is caucasian, with blonde hair and a slim build, and is about 160-70cms tall.
She was last seen wearing a pink shirt and pink pants.
Mya has curly dark brown hair, a slight build and is about 89cm tall.
Police say Shantell is known to frequent Reservoir, Sunshine, St Kilda East and Malvern East.
Anyone who may have sighted Shantell or Mya, who knows of their whereabouts or has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
