A five-year-old boy, who went missing from his home in far-west Queensland, has been found.
The boy vanished about 6pm Monday at his home in the suburb of Pioneer in Mount Isa.
Police held concerns for the little boy’s safety after family and police were unable to find him during their initial searches.
But Queensland Police late on Tuesday morning have confirmed the boy has been located safe and well, about 9.10am.
That means he spent about 15 hours overnight without food or shelter. Fortunately, overnight temperatures in the Pioneer area have only been dropping down to the low-20Cs as daytime temperatures soar into the 40Cs.
Police have thanked the public and the media for their assistance.
