Up to nine cars have crashed on the M4 Motorway in Sydney’s west, causing six kilometres of traffic to bank up.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 6.45am after reports up to nine vehicles had crashed on the M4 Motorway at Greystanes.
One of three westbound lanes closed and motorists are advised to exercise caution as they drive through the area.
Major delays are expected in the coming hours as traffic is reportedly backed up along the major road for about 6km.
Cars are now being cleared from the scene but heavy traffic remains as the queue clears throughout the morning.
