GOLD Coast musician and actor Cody Simpson’s sister Alli Simpson has opened up on the superficiality of life in LA and also how his famous girlfriend Miley Cyrus is far from that.
The ambitious 22-year-old spent a few weeks with her brother, who now has three albums to his name, and his super-selling famed squeeze Miley Cyrus at their LA pad in March and says it was an eye-opener.
“Miley is actually super lovely and I really like her,” the former All Saints Anglican College student says.
“They seem really happy, which makes me happy,” she said. “But in theory, wouldn’t it be nice to keep our private lives private.
“When I was dating Conrad Sewell (a 32-year-old Australian musician), it was really confronting when our break up (in 2018) was plastered everywhere.
“No one can possibly understand what happened until they walked in our shoes.”
Alli Simpson, who harbours her own small and big screen dreams, says while home in Mermaid Beach with her family, she realised she loathes the superficial side of LA.

Renee Bargh speaks candidly about her life beyond the camera
“I have great friends on the Gold Coast and nothing compares to that in LA,” she says.
“Cody and I had a good group of friends in America but if we went to events some people were just trying to benefit themselves.
“It’s really annoying when someone wants to hang out with you just for the benefits but doesn’t want to actually be your friend.
“After a while we stopped going to parties because we were so over it and it was so overwhelming.”
Alli says she plans to move back to America by the end of the year to pursue acting.
“I am doing online acting courses and dedicating my life to auditioning over the next year or two,” she said.
