A man has died and two women were taken to hospital, after a suspected overdose in Sydney’s west overnight.
Emergency services were called to a home on Harry Ave, Lidcombe just after 2am, where they found a 23-year-old man unconscious.
Attempts were made by friends to revive the man at the home, before four ambulance crews arrived on scene and began performing CPR.
About a dozen people gathered outside the home, which was cordoned off by police tape.
The man died at the scene.
Two women were taken to Westmead Hospital as a precaution.
Inquiries into the death continue and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
