A barber shop owner is in hospital after being stabbed by two men inside his shop in Sydney’s southwest.
Police and NSW Ambulance were called to the InStyle Barber on Arthur Street, Punchbowl, just after 6pm following reports two men entered the barber shop and assaulted the man.
Paramedics arrived to find a 33-year-old male barber – believed to be the owner – with stab wounds to his leg and arm. He was stretchered into an ambulance before being taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment, where he remains in a stable condition.
Crowds gathered around the shop and watched the man being wheeled into the ambulance as police cordoned off the shop with crime tape.
Police say the two alleged assailants fled from the store and were last seen getting into a vehicle and heading north on Arthur Street.
