- Mick Hawi: A passion for power yet destined to die
The Lone Wolf bikie who owned up to his role in the daylight execution of Sydney crime lord Mick Hawi has been convicted over a jailhouse blue where he kicked a fellow inmate in the head.
Ahmad “Adam” Doudar, 40, was one of three men arrested in August 2018 and charged with murder after former Comanchero boss Hawi was gunned down outside a Rockdale gym six months earlier.
Doudar pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact to murder.
While he was on remand on September 16 last year, Doudar became embroiled in an ugly fight in an unrelated incident at Parklea Correctional Centre in Sydney’s west.
He was punched several times to the back of the head and a blow to the ear knocked him to the ground, according to a statement of agreed court facts.
A short time later in cell block 5B trouble started again when Doudar passed a fellow inmate named Ivan Harris.
“The accused walks past Ivan Harris, where Harris admits to assaulting the accused,” the agreed facts said.
“Harris stands up from the table and walks towards the accused where they are standing face-to-face. The accused then uses his right arm and punches Harris to the face and kicking Harris to the head.”
Harris escaped without any injuries.
Doudar was convicted of common assault and sentenced in Parramatta Local Court to three months jail over the Parklea bust up.

Earlier this month, however, he successfully appealed the severity of the sentence before District Court Judge Stephen Hanley. The sentence was downgraded to a Section 10A, meaning the conviction stands but without any further penalty.
Doudar was originally charged with murder over the hit on Hawi. That charge was dropped. On the day his trial was due to start in July this year he pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact to murder and is still awaiting sentence on that charge.
Hawi’s widow Carolina Gonzalez told Doudar’s sentence hearing in the Supreme Court last week her sons were “broken” by the death of their father.
“Their life is so empty now because of a bunch of cowards who decided to play god,” she said through tears.
“You have taken the innocence of children away from them by showing them first-hand what an evil man can do.
“There will come a day, Ahmad, when you will stand before the ultimate judge and you will not be able to make a deal or plead to save yourself.
“Your punishment will be eternal and divine.”
A statement of agreed facts in the Hawi murder case state Doudar was one of three men who loaded one of the getaway cars onto a white tow truck from a safe house in Bexley.
Two men – Yusuf Nazlioglu and Jamal Eljaidi – did stand trial for Hawi’s murder and were last week found not guilty.
