Three stabbed in separate incidents at Guildford, Waterloo on New Year’s Eve and Day

Video has emerged of chaotic scenes at a western Sydney park where a teenager was stabbed in the back on New Year’s Eve.
Police were called to Bright Park in Guildford about 10.30pm after reports a person had been seriously injured in a knife attack.
“On arrival, police were told a group of males were allegedly letting off fireworks before a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the back,” police said in a statement on Thursday.
“The offender then allegedly fled the scene.”
The youth was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Waterloo stabbings
A man and girl are also spending the New Year’s day in hospital after being stabbed in separate altercations at Waterloo in the early hours of Wednesday.
Emergency services were called to George St about 3.30am, with a report that a man had been injured.
South Sydney police a man, in his 30s, suffering a wound to his torso.
He was treated by paramedics and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the man had also suffered a stab wound to his right tricep from a broken bottle.
In a separate incident, police responded to reports a woman had also been injured during an altercation on Raglan St, Waterloo about 5.15am on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old girl was treated by paramedics for a wound to her leg before being taken to RPA Hospital with injuries that were also not life threatening.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the girl suffered a wound from a kitchen knife to her upper right leg.
A Raglan St resident told The Daily Telegraph she had heard screaming and doors slamming from across the road in the early hours of Wednesday, although she had remained in bed and not looked to see what the disturbance was.
Security footage from a neighbouring property on Raglan St showed police standing outside the unit where the girl was stabbed at 5.17am..
It also shows police speaking to two young women on the footpath, and an officer inspecting and taking photos of one of the women’s hands.
Later on Wednesday morning, police remained at the scene, where detectives and duty officers continued to inspect the unit.
Police have set up crime scenes at both locations. which will be forensically examined.
No arrests have been made and inquiries are continuing.
