Two men are under police guard in hospital after an alleged stabbing in western Sydney on Monday evening.
After reports of a stabbing just after 7pm, paramedics and police arrived at a home on Harrow Rd, Auburn to find two men in their 40s seriously injured.
One man, aged 44, was treated for stab wounds, while another treated for serious injuries to his face.
It’s understood the men are roommates at the property.
One man was seen being wheeled out of the home in an evacuation chair before being placed on a stretcher out in the street, as police worked to rope off the crime scene.
Both men were taken to Westmead Hospital in serious but stable conditions.
On Tuesday morning officers said both men were still in hospital under police guard.
At the scene, a bloodstained white towel could be seen lying on the driveway as police surveyed the area and began to investigate.
Police have established a crime scene at the home, and were seen walking through the home’s garage with torches.
Investigators were seen speaking to residents near the scene, with a small group of onlookers gathering at the scene.
