Two men have been hospitalised with head injuries after a brawl in which a brick was allegedly used as a weapon in Sydney’s west.
Footage obtained by The Daily Telegraph shows a young man in a black shirt appearing to run into a group of people in Fairfield and launching an object that hits another man in the head.
He is followed by another male in a white jumper, who throws an item in the same direction before chasing an older man onto the road and throwing something else at him.
While it is not clear what these objects are, a NSW Police spokesman said officers believed a brick had been used in the incident.
In a statement, police said officers had attended a house on Rosina St just after 5.15pm on Monday following reports of a brawl involving men and women.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics had taken two men, aged in their 30s and 40s, to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
She said both had lacerations to the head.
Police, who have established a crime scene while investigating the incident, said a number of people believed to have been involved in the brawl had left the scene before officers arrived.
A number of other people were “assisting police with inquiries at the scene”, but no arrests had been made.
