Bikie fugitive Mark Buddle‘s “warring” brothers-in-law have been ordered by the Supreme Court to go to mediation and try to sort out their differences over the family’s Flemington Markets trucking business.
The court was told on Monday that there was a “deadlock” between David and Daniel Ter Wisscha, whose sister Mel is married to Buddle, 42, the self-styled Comanchero boss and one of Australia’s most wanted men.
At the centre of the dispute is the giant Flemington Unloading Services which has been servicing the markets for over 30 years.
Daniel Ter Wisscha, 32, under the name of his company D & RTW Pty Ltd, is suing his brother David, 39, his brother’s company D and JT Holdings Pty Ltd, Flemington Unloading Services and another company, Ter Wisscha Holdings Pty Ltd of which David and Daniel are the joint directors.
The brothers have each claimed the other wrongly withdrew money from the family company and each has vehemently denied the claims.
David Ter Wisscha’s counsel, Dinesh Ratnam, told the court on Monday that were was “deadlock between the two warring brothers” and asked for the civil hearing, set down for five days, to be put back until later this year to give them a chance to go to mediation.
Justice Ashley Black said mediation was standard practise in cases involving family members and ordered the brothers either attended a registrar or engaged a private mediator.
Buddle is currently believed to be in Lebanon or Turkey while his wife remains in their luxury Dubai home in the Palm Islands development.
There is no suggestion Buddle’s wife or anyone in her family has any knowledge of drug kingpin Buddle’s criminal empire.
