Dead Hells Angels bikie’s brother among three charged over kidnapping in Sydney’s west

Police found a 31-year-old man inside a Cranebrook home after he was allegedly kidnapped and assaulted by three men.

The brother of a bikie killed in an infamous Sydney Airport brawl is among three men charged over an alleged kidnapping overnight.

Peter Zervas, 46, was allegedly among the group of three men who assaulted the 31-year-old in a Cranebrook home, leaving him with several lacerations, bruises and a suspected broken jaw.

Zervas’ brother Anthony was killed during the bikie brawl in the airport’s domestic terminal in March 2009.

NSW Police arrested Zervas, Sozo Loukis, 59, and John Matthew Weyman, 36, and took them to Penrith Police Station where they have since been charged.

Zervas and Loukis have been charged with take and detain in company, occasion actual bodily harm and wound person with intent.

In a statement, police said about 11pm on Monday night, officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command were called to a home on Challenger Way in the area following reports for a welfare concern.

With the assistance of PolAir, officers found the trio outside the home and arrested all three men.

Weyman, from Cranebrook, was charged with take/detain in company with intent to get advantage occasioning actual bodily harm.

Zervas, from Minto, and Loukis, from Cranebrook, were both charged with take/detain in company with intent to get advantage occasioning actual bodily harm and wounding person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

All three men were refused bail and will face Penrith Local Court on Tuesday.

Inside the house, police found the 31-year-old suffering from serious injuries and he was taken to hospital to receive treatment.

Police allege he had been detained at the property and physically assaulted for several hours prior to their arrival.
