A teenage boy is in hospital and a second has been charged over an alleged stabbing at a KFC in Sydney’s southwest.

A teenage boy has been charged after a second boy was allegedly stabbed at a KFC in Sydney’s southwest on Friday night, seeking refuge at a police station.

Police said a 16-year-old boy presented with multiple stab wounds at Fairfield Police Station about 11pm on Friday, with officers at the station rendering first aid until paramedics arrived.

The boy was then taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

A short time later officers attended the carpark of a KFC fast-food restaurant on The Horsley Drive, Fairfield, where four males in a parked motor vehicle were arrested.

The males – a 16-year-old, two 17-year-olds and a 21-year-old man – were taken to Fairfield Police Station where they were spoken to by investigators.

One of the 17-year-old boys was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, affray and breach of bail.

He was refused bail and will appear at a children’s court later today.

The other three teenagers were released pending further inquiries.

A crime scene was established in the carpark which is being examined by specialist police, and investigators are canvassing the area as investigations into the incident continue.

Police are urging anyone who may have information about the incident, or any available dashcam/mobile phone footage, to contact Fairfield Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
