A teenager is fighting for life after he was stabbed in the neck and dumped at a Central Coast train station on Thursday night.
Emergency services rushed to a home on Ocean Beach Road in Woy Woy at about 9.30pm following reports of an assault.
Officers from Brisbane Water Police District were told an 18-year-old man was stabbed in the neck before he was taken to Woy Woy Train Station.
NSW Ambulance attended the station and found the man with a serious stab wound.
He was taken to Gosford Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition this morning.
Following inquiries, police arrested a 24-year-old man at Wendy Drive, Point Clare, a short time later before he was taken to Gosford Police Station.
He has been released pending further investigations.
Police believe those involved in the stabbing are known to each other.
Police have established multiple crime scenes and are investigating the stabbing.
A neighbour said she heard a lot of commotion coming from the house around 8pm last night.
“It was a big, big noise, I heard lots of boys, they were screaming and talking, but I didn’t hear when it happened. Since 8pm they were screaming.
The woman said there were around seven boys at the home.
“But they weren’t fighting, they were just saying bad language”
Another neighbour said he didn’t hear anything as he was sleeping but described the house where the incident occurred as an “interesting one”.
“Interesting characters coming in and out and it was only leased a couple of months ago,” he said.
“I saw the police sitting there when I got up this morning.
“We always feel safe on a main street, because people come and go all the time. I’ve never seen anything like this”.
