Alleged Alameddine crime network member Ali Younes has been charged overnight after allegedly posting an image on Instagram of him with a man he was banned from seeing.

The rapper, who goes by the moniker Ay Huncho, was picked up on Thursday night by officers from Strike Force Raptor.

Police allege Younes breached his bail conditions that allowed him to remain in the community while facing a raft of charges.

The alleged breach was spotted by detectives combing his social media who allege a man hidden behind an emoji is an organised crime figure.

Younes posted the picture on May 20 depicting a group of men in Mount Druitt, captioning it: “I been shooting a video here for the past two hours.”

The man in question has his face covered with a purple devil emoji.

In Parramatta Local Court on Friday his lawyer Abdul Saddik argued the man’s identity could not be proven and he was instead granted bail by a magistrate.

Younes, 24, is on bail charged with affray, recklessly causing grievous bodily harm in company and assault with intent to participate in the activity of a criminal group, over an alleged altercation at a boxing event in late-November.

He was one of four alleged Alameddine associates wanted at the time by police cracking down on the crime family’s network.

The others, except feared general Masood Zakaria, were also picked up and charged by police.

Zakaria avoided arrest and is believed to have stowed away on a cargo ship to the Middle East, leaving behind his wife and two young children.

Younes spent the majority of the summer behind bars on remand when he handed himself into police last December after detectives spent weeks looking for him.

He was accused of breaching his bail 48 hours after being released earlier this year when police alleged he was stopped for a random breath test inside the car of an Alameddine associate.

His lawyer Mr Saddik successfully argued the man was not a member of the crime network and Younes was allowed to be released on bail again.

“It is before the court and I will let it take it’s course,” Mr Saddik told The Saturday Telegraph.

Younes was in custody at Parramatta and appeared in court from the cells on Friday.

“About 12.45am today Raptor Squad officers attended a home in Parramatta where they arrested a 25-year-old man in relation to a breach of bail offence,” a police spokeswoman said.

“He was taken to Granville Police Station and charged with breach of bail. He was remanded in custody to appear at Parramatta Local Court later today (Friday).

“Police will allege in court the offence occurred in Rooty Hill on Friday May 20, 2022.”
