Hundreds of bags of cocaine have been seized by police as 108 people were arrested and charged during a ‘Dial-a-Dealer’ operation running across three weekends in Sydney.

More than 650 individual bags of cocaine have been seized by police as 108 people were arrested and charged during a ‘Dial-a-Dealer’ operation run across Sydney over the past three weekends.
Strike Force Northrop was established in 2017 to target the alleged supply of cocaine by syndicates and individuals.
The most recent targeted operation, running on November 22 and concluding on December 7 saw 108 people arrested and charged.
Of these, 64 were charged with drug supply, 44 with drug possession, and one person with domestic violence related offences.
Drugs with an estimated potential street value of $210,000 were seized, comprising of more than 650 individual bags of cocaine, more than 27g of MDMA in 78 seized caps, and 467g of cannabis.
Police also seized 450g of THC edibles, 3.5g of ketamine, and 0.7g of the drug ice.
During the operation, $99,000 in cash was seized along with five cars.
A number of noteworthy arrests, include a 22-year-old man who was arrested on Hunter Street, Sydney on November 22.
During a vehicle search, 14 bags of cocaine and more than $6000 were allegedly found in a hidden compartment.
A 19-year-old man in Cronulla had 18 bags allegedly seized during a vehicle search on the same day.
A week later, a 22-year-old man was stopped on Spring St, Sydney where 21 bags of cocaine; 50 MDMA caps; and $750 were allegedly seized.
On the same day, a 28-year-old man was stopped in Woolloomooloo, with a search allegedly uncovering two cocaine bags and $1100 in cash.
An 18-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were each arrested after a vehicle stop in Gymea on December 7. Police will allege 10 bags of cocaine, $1415 in cash and an OC spray can were seized during the search.
In Bondi on the same day, a 31-year-old man was arrested after a vehicle stop where police allegedly found nine bags of cocaine; three bags of MDMA; a bag containing cannabis and $1110 in cash.
A 26-year-old man was arrested in Woollahra after police allegedly found cocaine and cash in a hidden compartment in his vehicle.
Police allegedly found 24 bags of cocaine in a vehicle with a 45-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man arrested in Bondi. Police will allege $3450 cash and a knife were also found.
A 21-year-old man was arrested on Crown St, Surry Hills where police allegedly found 10 bags of cocaine and $2150 in cash.
Central Metropolitan Region Commander, Assistant Commissioner Peter McKenna, said operations targeting the distribution of illegal drugs in Sydney will continue.
“This operation highlights NSW Police’s commitment to combating illegal drug supply and I am backing that commitment by ongoing operations,” he said.
“Whether they are major drug suppliers, mid-level or street level, I will continue to put resources into disrupting their operations and prosecuting them for their true criminality.”
