St Clair: Police searching for Prince Fanhbulleh after Youhanna Angok’s stabbing death

Police are investigating whether the stabbing death of a Western Sydney man a day before his 25th birthday was linked to a possible love triangle involving a young mum and her ex-partner.

St Clair Stabbing

Neighbours were afraid something bad was going to happen at a young mum’s home, long before a man was stabbed to death as an alleged love triangle turned deadly.

Residents of the otherwise sleepy St Clair cul-de-sac had become used to hearing shouting and angry exchanges.

Janika Bevin’s former partner Prince Fanhbulleh had turned up on numerous occasions following their break-up, screaming at her from the front yard or from inside the house, residents claimed.

Neighbours could hear the arguments and at times became worried for Ms Bevin’s welfare.

In October last year a teenage boy, home alone, was so startled by the ruckus outside his house that he filmed it, fearing something bad was going to happen.

In the video, Fanhbulleh can be heard screaming at Ms Bevin, calling her a “dumb bitch” while chasing her down the street. “I’m done with you, you f —king dumb slut,” he can be heard shouting.

This time Fanhbulleh’s visit ended with screams for help – and a man dead.

Whether by bad luck or design, Fanhbulleh showed up while a friend of Ms Bevin, Youhanna Angok, was celebrating his upcoming 25th birthday at the Paroo Close house.

It’s understood Mr Angok and Ms Bevin had been friends for several years and he had recently been released from prison. Mr Angok, Ms Bevin and her young daughter, as well as one of her girlfriends, were home when Fanhbulleh burst into the home, allegedly armed with a knife.

It’s alleged the two men argued, before Fanhbulleh stabbed Mr Angok repeatedly as Ms Bevin and her terrified friend tried to stop him – and Ms Bevin’s child watched.

Neighbours told The Sunday Telegraph they heard screams and a man shouting: “You’re a traitor” and “You’re a dog”.

“The screaming only lasted a few minutes and then the sirens came,” one local said.

When police arrived they found Mr Angok unconscious on Ms Bevin’s bedroom floor.

They tried to resuscitate him but he could not be revived and died the day before his birthday.

Fanhbulleh allegedly fled the area on a dirt bike, which triggered a major police search.

Ms Bevin, her child and her friend were not injured.

Police spent yesterday hunting for Fanhbulleh.

Residents spent the day on edge, conscious of the manhunt going on around them.

“It’s horrible to think something like this could happen in our neighbourhood,” one woman said.

Investigating police have confirmed they are looking into whether the incident was motivated by a possible love triangle.

Late yesterday, police were still unable to locate Fanhbulleh and urged anyone with information to come forward.
