Shooting during break and enter at Whalan

Two people fled a home in Sydney’s west after gun shots riddled the front of the house. Here is what we know so far.

An investigation is under way after shots were fired during a break and enter in Sydney’s west in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Just after 1am, police were called to a home on Torres Cres, Whalan, following reports of a public place shooting.

They were told two adults were inside when they heard glass smashing and gun shots. The pair was reportedly not injured and fled the home.

Mt Druitt detectives formed a crime scene, with damage sustained to the front of the home.

An investigation is under way into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
