An Alameddine crime clan associate has been convicted of threatening to “rape” and ”kill” a police officer, just weeks after narrowly escaping a drive-by assassination attempt.
Billal Mahfoud put on a brave face the morning after gunmen fired eight bullets into his parents‘ Guildford home as he sat on the front porch late at night on November 10.
But the 20-year-old showed his real side when almost two weeks later on November 22 police stopped in at his home.
Parramatta Local Court heard Mahfoud unleashed a barrage of sickening abuse towards a female police officer, calling her a “sl**” and threatening to do grotesque sexual acts to her.
“I’ll rape you, you stupid sl**,” Mahfoud told the policewoman, according to court documents.
“I’ll have you killed,” he then told her, adding “I’ll c** on your face”.
Court documents reveal Mahfoud claimed to be a roofer working six days a week, but could not shed light on how much he earned or how many hours he worked.
“The accused has an extensive criminal history and has been charged no less than 12 times for an array of offences, but mainly drug supply and possession,” court documents from a separate offence state.
“The accused is known to associate with a number of high-ranking members of the Alameddine Organised Criminal Network within the Merrylands/Guildford area.”
In March this year police noticed Mahfoud standing with a friend next to a black Mercedes about 3.30am, but when officers approached the two men ran.
Police searched the vehicle and found four resealable bags of cocaine, two mobile phones and $365 cash.
“Police later examined the phones and on them downloaded a number of photos, videos and social media accounts connecting a number of young males to cocaine supply,” court documents state.
When officers arrived at his home to arrest him in early November he told them: “I don’t even know why I’m arrested, I’ve been out of the drug supply game for pretty long now”.
Mahfoud plead guilty to supplying a prohibited drug and was sentenced to a Community Corrections Order for 12 months.
In another matter dealt with on the same day, Mahfoud also pleaded guilty to charges of common assault, stalk/intimidate, two counts of intimidating a police officer in execution of duty, and had an AVO taken out against him on behalf of his father who he also threatened.
Mahfoud’s narrow escape from last month’s drive-by shooting came months after his good friend and fellow Alameddine associate Shady Kanj was gunned down, and only weeks after the deaths of Salim and Toufik Hamze, who he also knew.
“I grew up with him (Salim), we went to school together, he was my friend,” Mahfoud said last month.
“There were three people in the house, we’ve got a main house and a granny (flat). I was out on the balcony, I don’t know why this happened.”
When asked if he was scared for his safety, Mahfoud replied: “No fear, not one”.
Mahfoud is not accused of any involvement in relation to Salim and Toufik Hamze‘s deaths.
