Seven people linked to outlaw bikie gangs, including an associate of shot Comanchero Tarek Zahed have been arrested during police operations to stamp out Sydney’s gang war.

During raids across the city and the south coast police arrested members and associates of the Comanchero, Rebel and Finks bikie clubs and seized three firearms and a large quantity of drugs.

“We have executed a number search warrants and as a result, seized numerous firearms and arrested seven people for a range of serious offences – all allegedly members or associates of OMCGs,’’ Commissioner Karen Webb said.

The arrests are part of an ongoing strategy under Task Force Erebus established this week to investigate Sydney’s bloody murders between warring crime families linked to major drug supply and indicated there would be more arrests.

“I want the community to be reassured that operations under Erebus have a long way to go, and we will inflict further damage on these criminal networks in the days and weeks to come,” Commissioner Webb said.

On the same night Tarek Zahed was shot and his brother Omar killed a 32-year-old man was shot in Londonderry in Sydney's west.

The two shootings were unrelated but police allege the man shot was a member of the Rebel bikie gang who are in a conflict with the Finks.

Armed police arrested the alleged Fink at a home in Schofields on Tuesday morning. He allegedly shot a 37-year-old man on May 10 inside a home at Londonderry. He was taken to Westmead Hospital and has since been released.

The alleged offender was charged with numerous offences including using a firearm with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm and acquiring a pistol while subject to a firearms prohibition order, and is expected to appear in Blacktown court on Wednesday.
