Police raid Crows Nest massage parlour in drug bust

Balaclava-clad police raided the back alley massage parlour, allegedly uncovering a suburban drug ring in North Sydney.

A raid on a back alley massage parlour has allegedly uncovered a suburban drug ring in North Sydney.

Balaclava-clad police left workers and those dining in local eateries shocked last Thursday when they burst through the front and back doors of the address on busy Willoughby Road at Crows Nest.

At the same time NSW Police officers from Strike Force Quan were also raiding addresses in Campsie and West Ryde.

Across all locations they found more than 263 grams of methylamphetamine, two litres of GHB, two litres of liquid ecstasy, 28 grams of cocaine and cash.

Weapons including an electronic stun device and an extendible baton were also seized.

In total four people were charged and one woman, who was allegedly in the country illegally, was reported to the Australian Border Force.

Yee Woon Chong, 41, was led out of the Crows Nest massage parlour in handcuffs and faced Manly Local Court last Friday.

He is charged with 12 drug supply offences, including one count of supplying a large commercial quantity of prohibited drugs, and one count of dealing with the proceeds of crime.

At the same massage parlour Yinuo Yang, 25, was also arrested and charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug, taking part in supplying a prohibited drug and dealing with property proceeds of crime.

A 41-year-old woman was also arrested at Crows Nest and charged with two counts of supplying an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug and dealing with property that is the proceeds of crime.

The three people arrested were all refused bail, with Yang and the 41-year-old woman due back in Manly Local Court on May 20 and Chong to appear at the same court on June 24.

At Campsie a 26-year-old male was arrested and charged with drug offences.

They included three counts of supplying an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug, possessing or using a prohibited weapon without permit, possessing a prohibited drug, and dealing with property proceeds of crime.

He appeared in Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday.
