CCTV has captured the shocking moment a driver loses control of his car and ploughs into the front of a western Sydney home.
Residents were startled by a “huge bang” on Whitford Road, Hinchinbrook around 7.30pm on Friday night, when a 29-year-old man lost control of his car and smashed through the front of a home.
Fortunately, the driver, and his passenger, a 29-year-old woman, were uninjured.
The occupants of the home also escaped injury, and were understood to be in another room at the time of the incident.
CCTV footage captured the incident, and showed the driver seemingly being followed closely by another vehicle at high speeds, before he lost control.
The other vehicle continues driving after the crash, as neighbours can be heard screaming and running to assist the driver of the crashed vehicle.
Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The home suffered major structural damage as a result of the collision, with the operation to stabilise the home and remove the car taking several hours.
