Police investigate hit-and-run incident in Pennant Hills that left pedestrian hospitalised

A 56-year-old man was injured in a hit-and-run incident in Pennant Hills after a hatchback crashed into a tree, reversed into the pedestrian, and fled the scene.

Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident in Sydney’s northwest that left a 56-year-old man hospitalised.

Officers were called to Laurence St, Pennant Hills shortly before 9pm on Sunday after reports of a crash. Upon arrival, they found that a hatchback had collided with a tree.

Police were told several occupants were seen fleeing the vehicle.

Moments later, the car reversed, striking a pedestrian before speeding away from the scene.

The injured man was treated at the scene by paramedics and transported to Royal North Shore Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Police have launched an investigation and are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.

Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
