Four young Chinese men were dragged from their beds, tied up and threatened by masked intruders armed with guns and knives in what they’ve described as a “very scary” home invasion in Sydney’s west.
Twenty-year-old business student Zhi Yang said he was woken by a big “bang” around 11pm, when three masked men kicked in the door of his Carlingford home.
Mr Yang said the armed intruders dragged him from his bed and tied his hands and feet behind his back.
“They had a gun to my head, he said.
“(Screaming) where is the f***ing money.
“It was very scary.”
He and three men he lives with on Tomah St were tied up in different areas of the house, as the masked intruders continued their demands for more than 30 minutes.
Mr Yang said they took his phone and passport - but nothing else.
He said it was only when one of his housemates was able to break free, that the intruders ceased their terrifying attack.
“He got free and chased them,” Mr Yang said.
“He ran and he saved me.”
With rope marks still visible on his wrists and ankles on Friday morning, Mr Yang said he had no idea why he and his friends were targeted.
“We don’t know who they, they said they wanted money,” he said.
“But nothing is here.”
One of the victims called police after the incident, and each of them were treated for minor injuries.
Detectives have commenced an investigation into the incident, and why the men were targeted.
