Police hunt two men accused of violent home invasion and assault in Sydney’s west

Two masked men are on the run after allegedly forcing their way into a Colyton home, assaulting the occupants and stealing property.

Police are searching for two men accused of carrying out a violent home invasion in Sydney’s west on Monday morning.

The masked intruders forced their way into a home on Desborough Rd in Colyton shortly before 4am, where they assaulted two men, aged 31 and 37, who live at the home, before stealing property.

The younger victim suffered a head injury after being struck during the incident.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to the hospital for observation.

Officers established a crime scene and inquiries are underway.

The suspects fled the scene before police arrived.

The men have only been described has having their faces covered.

Police are appealing for anyone in the area about 3.30am who may have information – or relevant dashcam vision – to call Penrith Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
