Police say the shooting was the result of a war between the Alameddine and Hamzy families which has been ongoing in Sydney’s south west for years.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Criminal Groups Squad established Strike Force Courier to investigate the shooting murder.

In March this year, detectives released CCTV of two vehicles of interest – a grey Toyota Rav 4 and a matte black Mercedes Benz.
