Parramatta crash: 92-year-old man critical after being hit by car
An elderly man is fighting for his life in a critical condition after he was hit by a car while sightseeing at an old convict facility.

An aged care resident was sightseeing at an old convict facility when he was hit by a car and left fighting for life in Sydney’s west on Tuesday.
Witnesses say the 92-year-old was taking photographs at the old Women’s Factory at Cumberland Hospital when he was critically injured in the carpark of the facility.
Paramedics treated the man near Fleet St and Eastern Circuit, North Parramatta before he was taken to Westmead Hospital with critical head and leg injuries.
Police were told the elderly man was hit by a white Toyota Yaris around 11.20am on Tuesday. The driver, a 54-year-old woman, was taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol testing
She was then questioned at Parramatta Police Station.
A witness said the incident happened while there was a function at a nearby facility. Psychiatrists and a nurse rendered assistance before paramedics arrived.
“It was very busy here yesterday. The man was sightseeing taking photos when he was hit,” she said.
