An Ocean Shores man was allegedly found with a haul of drugs in his car and home after police carried out a random roadside breath test.
Sean Byrnes, 50, was charged with 12 offences, including five counts of supplying a prohibited drug – indictable quantity four counts of possessing a prohibited drug, supplying a prohibited drug – small quantity, dealing with proceeds of crime and possessing a prohibited weapon.
No pleas have been entered yet.
Tweed/Byron Police stopped a vehicle on Tandys Lane, Brunswick Heads to conduct an RBT about 9.40pm on Saturday.
Officers searched the vehicle and allegedly found 38 grams of MDMA (ecstasy), 91g of ketamine, 55g of cocaine, 5g of cannabis resin, 5g of LSD, 40g of cannabis leaf and 32 prescription pills, according to NSW Police statement.
The driver was arrested and taken to Byron Bay Police Station.
While he was in custody, police obtained a search warrant and raided the man’s Palmer Ave, Ocean Shores home.
Police allegedly found 113g of cocaine, 33g of MDMA powder, a small quantity of cannabis leaf, $13,500 in cash, a slingshot, some prescription pills and two mobile phones.
He was not required to appear at court and refused bail.
The case has been adjourned to Byron Bay Local Court on August 5.
