Exclusive: Dominic Perrottet was fined after being caught on camera for speeding in a ministerial car while he was NSW Premier, and four of his then-ministers where also busted for exceeding the speed limit and penalised.

Another former minister was fined for overstay parking.

But it was ministerial drivers who racked up the most costly fines after being caught running a red light, using a mobile phone and speeding in school zones.

The details of the infringements – released under freedom of information to The Saturday Telegraph – listed traffic offences incurred by the former Coalition government ministers or their drivers between January last year and the end of March this year.

Mr Perrottet was caught on camera driving less than 10km/hr above the speed limit on May 15 while his then treasurer Matt Kean, was done for the same offence on March 25 last year.

Most of the politicians could speeding were travelling less than 10km/hr over the speed limit.

Also caught on camera going less than 10km/h over the speed limit was former minister and ex-Nationals MP Melinda Pavey, who was done on January 9 while her then party colleague and former minister Kevin Anderson was also fined for the same offence on January 30 this year.

However, mystery surrounds the identity of an unnamed minister who was caught on camera speeding above 10km/h on December 27.

This is because the minister in question was clocked using a ministerial pool car instead of their own assigned vehicle.

Ministers can use pool cars when their own cars are in for service or repairs.

Former regional transport and roads minister Sam Farraway was another minister to cop a fine, in his case overstaying a park on October 10 last year.

Mr Farraway did not lose any demerit points but had to cough up $120 for the extended stay.

The ministerial driver of former agriculture minister and Nationals MP Dugald Saunders was busted driving less than 15km/h above the limit in a school zone on February 20 last year.

The ministerial driver of then-opposition leader Chris Minns was caught by camera going less than 10km/h in a school zone on April 26 while one of his staffers had to pay $117 for failing to a pay a parking fee.

A staffer of Mr Minns was fined $120 for failing to obey a parking sign while the failure to display a printed loading zone ticket also cost a staffer $201.

Former health minister Brad Hazzard’s driver was busted disobeying a No Stopping sign, while those charged with chaperoning his former ministerial colleagues Victor Dominello and Alastair Henskens were fined for failing to pay a parking fee.

The ministerial driver of former local government minister Wendy Tuckerman copped the most expensive fine after driving through a red arrow, followed by the driver of former transport minister David Elliott who was caught on camera using a mobile phone.

Each of the fines were referred to the driver to pay themselves.
