Homicide detectives have released CCTV footage of two men they believe can assist with inquiries in connection with a failed barbershop assassination on two brothers in Sydney’s inner west earlier this year.

William, 33, and Eric Siale, 20, were at Adel’s salon on busy Marrickville Rd at Marrickville, when a balaclava-clad gunman burst in and opened fire at about 1.50pm on July 7.

William was left with serious injuries after he was shot in the buttock and spine.

After shooting William, the gunman turned and shot Eric in the chest, before running out of the salon and hopping in a waiting silver Kia Stinger that was minutes later found burnt out in a laneway – before the two accomplices got in a white Toyota Hilux they drove to Dulwich Hill.

They then set fire to the Hilux and sped off in a white Toyota Aurion.

Two days later on July 9, police located the burnt-out Toyota in Smithfield.

William and Eric have since been discharged from hospital.

Officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command commenced initial inquiries before State Crime Command’s Task Force Magnus and Criminal Groups Squad took charge of the investigation under Strike Force Orsino.

Tactical officers searched a number of properties on Tuesday as part of the investigation.
